CREW AND VOLUNTEER

CREW

Registering as a Crew Member is a great way to make a difference and use your expertise to help others. When you sign up as a Crew Member for The Ride, you commit to helping out over the entire weekend. You’ll receive an awesome Crew t-shirt to wear and keep as a memento and you’ll enjoy the same meals, snacks and refreshments as Riders, as well as camping facilities!

Before registering as a Crew Member, ensure that you are comfortable with the fact that Crew positions can be strenuous and physically demanding at times. As a Crew Member, you’ll be helping out at The Ride from early morning to late afternoon, but you won’t be riding unless you are part of the Bike Tech team.

Crew Members are the foundation of The Ride, and we work hard to make sure you have all the support you need.

Our Support

Crew Members receive the same support and fundraising advice as Riders. Crew Members should always feel free to call our Ride Guides at 1300 99 RIDE for fundraising advice and pep talks. As a Crew Member, you are not required to fundraise, but you are strongly encouraged to raise a minimum of $500 so that more funds can be invested into cancer research.

Please note: You must be at least 16 years old to be a Crew Member.

VOLUNTEER

Volunteers contribute their time, skills and creativity to bring The MACA Ride to Conquer Cancer® to fruition. Volunteers help at outreach events and fundraisers, support at training rides and help us to produce the powerful Opening Ceremony and finish line. Volunteering is a great way to make a difference whether you are a registered participant or not.

Getting involved as a volunteer is a great way to stay connected to The Ride all year long. Riders and Crew Members can lead training rides, lend their support at orientations and speak at fundraising parties and outreach events. Riders and Crew Members won’t be available to volunteer at the Opening Ceremony or finish line, as these ceremonies are where we celebrate your accomplishment!

Call us at 1300 99 RIDE to find out more about volunteer programs in your area or sign up to Volunteer online. There is no registration fee.
